Change Team:
1951 Cary Women's Basketball Team

Girl's basketball has been around at Cary High School dating back to the 1940's.  However, it wasn't until the 1972 season that girl's were allowed to compete for a championship thanks in large part to the passing of the Title IX legislation.  Girl's basketball teams at Cary High have enjoyed plenty of success on the basketball court, including a state championship in 1993 under then head coach Debbie Edwards.

Our two most famous alum are Debbie Antonelli (Class of 1982), a national college/WNBA basketball analyst & co-host of ESPN women's basketball podcast and Azura Stevens (Class of 2014), the #6 Pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft of the Dallas Wings.
