DESCRIPTION: Athletic Training Student Assistants
Athletic Training Student Assistants observe and learn under the Certified Athletic Trainer in the prevention, evaluation, treatment, & rehabilitation of the student-athlete in a professional manor. The goal of the Student Assistant is to enhance their skills learned from both the classroom and after school instruction to help deliver the proper health care to the student-athlete. The Athletic Training Department is dedicated to developing responsible students at school, the athletic field, and in the community through determination, discipline, and dedication while at CHS. The Student Assistants will cooperate, communicate, and learn from the interaction among the Certified Athletic Trainer, coaches, student-athletes, and their peer Student Assistants. These Student Assistants are a determined group of dynamic individuals who do not need to be asked to perform a task, but will rise to the occasion at hand. Becoming a team member of this AWESOME group of students requires strong academics, many volunteer hours, and cooperation with others.
Registration for the Athletic Training Student Assistants is now open for the 2020-21 season. We need all returning and prospective participants to register.
